A few photos from Tera's wedding this past weekend in Phoenix, AZ. The ceremony was at the Phoenix Country Club at sundown. Caught a few poses here and there.

Model Shoot on Sunday night
Couple photos from recent FotoFriday on a Sunday night with models Bonnie and Francesca. We shot with two strobes and a generator in LODO-ish area in Denver. The generator wasn't handling the 14 amp load from the lights.. so we knocked on doors to borrow power. Good thing we brought 300 feet of extension cords.

Wings over the Rockies warplanes
FotoFriday took to Wings Over the Rockies museum. Usually, the planes are inside a hanger. But everything was outside for a few days since they were painting or resurfacing the floor inside. So, we got lucky to find all the vintage aircraft outside practically on the street of Lowry neighborhood. It made an interesting contrast when shown next to ticky tacky homes.
Union Station - Denver
FotoFriday assignment - Union Station and nearby area. The most interesting shot I found was the foot bridge over I-25 just west of Union Station. Also, I've included the light rail sign in front of the station and some construction going on west of location. I used pan/tilt look for this one to make the workers look like little toys.
Red Rocks
My friend Steve Hirsch was taking part of the 2011 Red Rocks photography content. He must have visited the location 100 times. Me, just two or three times. We went-out once about 10pm and another morning at sunrise. Here are a few of my shots from the famous live music venue. The bottom image was after being bored of standing around for two hours taking two minute exposures. I had a flashlight in my camera bag so I decided to do experiment with light painting. During the run out into the field, I fell and landed on a cactus plant. Ouch.

Montesorri Children's House of Denver
Caught sunrise for this shot of MCHD's new Stapleton Campus. The grass had just been installed. Could have used a could or two in the sky... maybe... Cropped-out the neighboring buildings and power lines and a giant electrical box behind the monument sign.
Beach Dream
FotoFriday from earlier this summer. Tera, our model, poses in a dreamlike state. We got-up at 5am to capture the morning light. This exposure is blown-out to compliment the pose. Some other shots below. First time shooting swimwear. So was great practice posing, lighting, etc. Thanks to the group that came out so early in the morning and the assistants that held the reflectors!
Denver Capital
A few weeks back, we took a trip to the Denver Capital for FotoFriday. The top observation deck was under construction making photos of the city difficult without obstruction. So, I focused on the detail inside of the dome.
Macro Mantis
Came across this insect walking in to the parking garage a few weeks ago. I had my camera with the macro/60mm attached... so I decided how close I could go before scaring it away. If you ask me, I'd say it's looking right at me. It's head was faced other direction until the first few shutter releases. Then it turned to see what the fuss was about. I suppose, being one or two inches away from it didn't cause enough alarm to scurry away.

This week's FotoFriday took us to Johnathan Borofski's art installation located along Speer Blvd by the Denver Center for Performing Arts. It cost the city 1.5 million and was installed in 2003. The second shot demonstrates how most people view this piece. Driving by at 35 mph. It was nice to stand under it for the first time. We also walked over the DCPA complex. The third shot is the roof of the atrium.
