The first male dancer model in my career walked through the studio doors recently. The first thing I noticed about photographing a male dancer is the poses were different from when I shot a female ballet dancer earlier in the year. The male had more strength but also possessed elegance. Enjoyed the experience and everyone got the shots they needed.

Maternity Shoot with a baby girl
This past Sunday morning, I photographed a maternity session. Their young daughter proved to be the biggest opportunity to exploit - although at times, it was hard to wrangle her pose (or not pose). In the end, we got a few images of her doing what kids do... and mom is happy!

Two Families with one camera
Last Saturday, I had back-to-back family shoots. Both were a delight to work with. I'm finding the hardest part of doing shoots like this is getting the children to behave and pose correctly. In the end, the candids, non-planned shots turned-out best. Getting Dad to tickle the son caused a positive emotion to capture vs. the serious staged and posed shots. The shot with the son on Dad's shoulders turned-out fun when I asked him to cover Dad's eyes.

Record Players and Tea
Shots from two different shoots.. first one is the famous turntable... Technics SL 1200 with Ortofon slip mat and cartridge. The record is a Razormaid anniversary 5 or 5.5 vinyl. The next three shots are from our first studio test shot doing beverage.
NXT Model Kerry
Here's a few images from our shoot with NXT model Kerry. We set-out to shoot at the beach but moved to a nearby park instead. Got some fun images with Victor.
